brand new day

well, i have decided that catching up on my blog is taking too damn long and that i am not writing new stuff as a result. i will attempt to write snippets of the past in upcoming posts but in the meantime i will just start keeping up to date with what is happening.

right now at school we have started the third (and final) term for the school year 2010-2011. the second term ended off well and i was motivated to start suggesting some changes that could help the curriculum. sometimes being too enthusiastic at work can backfire especially when you are clinging for top spot on the bottom rung of this ladder. i had thought that i had some teachers’ backing on the plan but it turns out not. *sigh* got to hand it to some people though, doing as little as possible while looking as busy is possible is an incredible talent. one which i have to master soon.

so, the gist of the matter right now is that i am frustrated at school because of a bad start to the third term and the new year. this will not dictate the rest of my year…

in keeping up with new year posts i think it is suitable to share some of my new years resolutions:

1. travel around japan some more
2. settle my credit card
3. learn how to breakdance and crump (i will share my reasons why in a later post)
4. find balance at work that works for everyone (especially me)
5. write a hell of a lot more and include my experiences in japan
6. learn japanese
7. stop making excuses and follow through

so there you have it, only 7 this year, i feel that thinking of 11 resolutions is a bit of a pipe dream so i am reducing the list in the hopes that if i pull off only a few the percentages will look better. not really an optimistic outlook but i have to start somewhere.

i will try and catch up with some of my winter vacation stories in my next post and shed some light on no. 3 above.

until then, light and love to you all…

  1. Yay! I was starting to think you might have forgotten your wordpress password. ;-)

  2. I need to know the reason behind number 3 :-)
